The Sandpiper is superbly situated on the seafront just across the road from Barmouth Sands and there is plenty of free parking.
For those who prefer to travel by rail, we are within a short walk from main line railway station.
The local line connects with several of the Great Little Trains of Wales.
The area provides a variety of local and interesting footpaths, walks and climbs such as the Panorama Walk’ which has breathtaking views of the Mawddach estuary and many others.
Barmouth is situated on the Cardigan Bay coastline at the mouth of the River Mawddach. The combination of sand, sea, Mountains and tranquillity, together with one of Britain’s most beautiful estuaries makes Barmouth an ideal holiday centre for both young and old, whatever their interest or tastes.

Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race Saturday 20th June
2009
Yachts leaves the harbour at 5.00pm. This Internationally renowned race
continues to test the sailing and mountain skills of the contestants,
testing their stamina and endurance year after year. The start of the
race in Barmouth is preceded by a procession of the yachts from the
harbour to the start line off shore. The race proceeds to Caernarfon
where two crew members race to the summit of Snowdon and return, then on
the Whitehaven for the assent of Scarfell Paike and finally to Fort
William and Ben Nevis. A total of 390 sea miles and 75 miles of mountain
running and cycling.
